Project Description

Five times a year, we tell the stories of brave men and women and their families who have sacrificed so much for our country. Chris was hit by a mortar round in Afghanistan in 2012, resulting in above-the-knee amputations and burns over 60% of his body, as well as a spinal cord injury. Getting “back to normal” civilian life can be incredibly challenging as these Veterans face obstacles day after day just in daily living.

Homes For Our Troops is an amazing program that builds mortgage-free, specially-adapted homes nationwide for severely injured Veterans Post-9/11, with the ultimate goal of enabling them to rebuild their lives.
